Amsterdam’s Museum Quarter has been enriched with a residential eye-catcher that gives new meaning to big and grand living. Situated between Hobbemakade and Pieter de Hoochstraat is De Hooch, a seven-story residential complex in the absolute top segment. Light, air and space are dynamically translated in the transparent design, with accents that fit the classical context of this unique location.

Architectural firm MVSA was responsible for De Hooch’s elegant design. It is characterized by flowing forms, refined material choices and a high level of finishing. The striking facade has a Japanese look with its rhythmic ceramic wall tiles. Honed natural stone was chosen for the plinth, and marble for the entrance. Everything is right down to the last detail, from the charming decoration of the imposing lobby to the light gray and anthracite metallic finishes of the two-level, underground private parking lot.
